Keen Eddie is Mark Valley's best work. All elements, stirred together, make it different from the usual, make you want to watch these episodes repeatedly: the jumpy, Guy Ritchy-style editing, the enjoyably strange London characters, Eddie's wisecracks, his partner Pippin's pseudo-suave niche and the fast, quirky dialog and accents - the narrative as much a star as the cast or the editing.
Monty: Ahh - Look at her. She's fantastic. I would become a communist for her. I just want to be her bath towel. Eddie: I thought you had this epiphany that you're shallow, weak and powerless against your sexual urges.
